I am a Visual Arts teacher with 10 years experience in both American and International schools. I hold a Master of Education degree, a Bachelor of Art degree in Studio Art and a California Teaching Credential in Art.

I understand the future of education and my pedagogy reflects that through 21st century skill development, voice and choice, and experiential and inquiry-based learning. Using curriculum that cultivates both creative and critical thinking, my students are encouraged to go through the creative process and support their work with informed contextual research, skill development, media experimentation and finally, project ideation and execution. I encourage lively, interactive class discussions and critiques. Through exposing student to many perspectives of visual culture, I aim to create connections between our thematic units, art movements and contemporary art practices.

It is my professional goal to work at an innovative independent school as a Visual Arts teacher and leader, facilitating transparent and purposeful growth while building upon student learning and well-being.
